Luvon Sheppard, described as the heart and soul of the RIT School of Art faculty, has a solo exhibition coming to RIT City Art Space celebrating his five-plus decades as an artist, educator and community collaborator.

RIT's Schools of Art, American Crafts, Film and Animation, and Photographic Arts and Sciences are all under new leadership.

The Democrat and Chronicle features a project by adjunct professor Olivia Kim to create a statue of Frederick Douglass for the Rochester airport.

Efforts are in motion to commission a permanent bronze statue of Frederick Douglass sculpted by Olivia Kim, an adjunct professor in RIT’s College of Art and Design, for the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.

Between her work as an internationally exhibiting artist, in galleries and archives and as an appraiser, Melissa Huang ’14 (Fine Arts Studio) has fully immersed herself in the world of art.

Thirty-five high school students built and refined their portfolios for college applications during a two-week visual arts course taught by RIT School of Art faculty.

The College of Art and Design's spring exhibitions are going virtual — they can be experienced on Instagram and a website. 

In support of the college admission process, prospective students from around the country received portfolio reviews from RIT faculty and reps from other leading art and design colleges.

College of Art and Design faculty and staff led a workshop educating Rochester City School District art teachers on portfolio requirements and the art of photographing portfolio pieces. 

Olivia Kim, an adjunct professor in RIT’s School of Art, has created three monuments, with more to come, to honor Frederick Douglass’ living legacy.
