RIT COVID-19 Fall Semester 2021 Dashboard
RIT’s COVID-19 dashboard has been reset to reflect the start of Fall Semester.
RIT’s COVID-19 dashboard is a source of information for our university community to remain updated on the most accurate data related to campus during the pandemic. We begin the semester with a high vaccination rate among the RIT community: 96% of the students are fully vaccinated; 94% of employees are fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated students, faculty, and staff are tested weekly. Additionally, RIT is testing wastewater four times a week.
This dashboard is updated Monday-Friday by 4 p.m.
Last updated: Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
New Positive Cases* From Past 14 Days
Total Positive Cases* Since August 16
(First Day of Fall Semester Move-in)
Our COVID Response team of administrators and health professionals works closely with the Monroe County Health Department when handling positive tests for students, faculty, or staff who are circulating on campus. It is important to note that not all instances will necessarily have occurred on-campus and may not present any risk of transmission to the broader RIT community.
*Known positive cases of those who are circulating on campus.
In addition to positive cases and vaccination percentages, RIT is monitoring a variety of indicators daily and looking at three-day trends to enable RIT to respond quickly to evolving health conditions. Indicators include:
- Wastewater surveillance trends
- Isolation/quarantine capacity on campus
- Local hospital capacity
- Infections in the local community (e.g. Monroe County, town of Henrietta)
For information about regional COVID statistics, visit the Monroe County dashboard and the NY Dashboard by Region.
Timely and accurate communications is central to the success of our plan. RIT Alert may be used for a health emergency; however other methods such as Message Center, email, News and Events, and the RIT website are preferred. RIT social media accounts will also be used to disseminate information.
