Overview

Summary:

Matt is in his third year on the faculty of Mississippi State, where he teaches a series of courses in design, production, analysis, and history for the Theatre program. As a member of the theatre faculty, Matt also designs in Theatre MSU's producing season, including recent scenic and lighting designs for Macbeth and Banner: A Sea Turtle Saga.

Professionally, Matt is principally a lighting designer for theatre and dance, with recent designs for Midland Festival Ballet (Midland, TX,) Arkansas Repertory Theatre (Little Rock, AR,) New Stage Theatre (Jackson, MS,) Seattle Repertory Theatre (Seattle, WA,) Syracuse Stage (Syracuse, NY,) and many others.

Matt received his MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle, and he is a proud alumnus of Mississippi State's Department of Communication.
