Matt Webb collaborates with Playhouse on the Square
In his first collaboration with Playhouse on the Square, Memphis' professional regional theatre, MSU Assistant Clinical Professor Matt Webb has created the lighting for The Scottsboro Boys, a vaudeville-style musical retelling of the landmark trial of nine falsely accused black teenagers that gave way for the Civil Rights movement.

Matt Webb creates lighting design for The Nutcracker
Assistant Clinical Professor Matt Webb recently created a new lighting design for an established production of The Nutcracker, seen by over 2000 patrons over a two-day period and featuring soloists from Houston Ballet and New York City Ballet. Midland Festival Ballet and the West Texas Symphony partner each year to present their unique version of The Nutcracker, a holiday family favorite for countless American ballet companies and produced yearly by MFB since 1993. For this season's production, Matt joined an existing creative team and developed a new lighting design over a one-week residency, culminating in two public performances that the Midland Reporter-Telegram called "a classic must-see story."

Chris Misun directs music video for Mississippi country music artist Emily White
Department of Communication Broadcast & Digital Journalism Instructor Chris Misun produced, directed, and edited a music video for Mississippi Singer/songwriter, Emily White. White debuts her first original single, "Child of Mississippi," off of her new album in the video. The music video was shot over the course of two and a half days in Meridian, Miss., in October of 2020. Emily White is a recording artist signed with Creative and Dreams Music Network.
